Citroën C4 100kW Sense 50kWh 5dr Auto Review

The model
Read full reviewThe Citroën C4 is very temptingly priced for a coupé SUV, while comfort and refinement also impress. You do pay for its cushiness with roly-poly handling, though, and there are more practical options.
The trim
See full equipmentEntry-level Sense-spec cars are pretty well equipped, getting dual-zone climate control, cruise control, rear parking sensors and adjustable lumbar support on the driver's seat. There's also a 10.0in touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring, while the list of standard safety kit includes automatic emergency braking and lane keeping assist. There's no alarm or built-in sat-nav, though.
The engine
See full engine specsThe e-C4 has a 50kWh battery, although its usable battery is only 45kWh. That makes it a bit smaller than many of its rivals and is why the official 211-mile range is a disappointing 139 miles in the real world. It’s not that quick, either, with a tested 0-60mph time of 9.0sec, which is absolutely fine around town but acceleration really starts to tail off between 50-70mph – bear that in mind if you do a lot of motorway driving.
