The model
Read full reviewAvoid the plug-in hybrid Cupra Leon, which is mediocre to drive by hot hatch standards, and the pure petrol 300 hatchback. The 310 estate makes much more sense, because it's practical, surprisingly comfortable and the quickest Leon available.
The trim
See full equipmentYou won’t want for equipment on the ‘entry-level’ VZ1; it comes with 18in alloy wheels, LED headlights, a digital instrument cluster, 10.1in touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and three-zone climate control, plus front and rear parking sensors along with a back up camera. There’s also the added quirk of a heated steering wheel.
The engine
See full engine specsWe haven't tried this engine in the Cupra Leon, but with 242bhp and a 0-62mph time of 6.4 seconds, performance is likely to be decent rather than spectacular.
