DS 4 1.5 BlueHDi Performance Line 5dr EAT8 Review
Category: Family SUV
Section: Version review

The model
Read full reviewThe DS 4’s sculpted interior helps give it a real premium feel, making it a good – if pricey – alternative to the usual family SUVs. However, the disappointing gearbox, so-so performance and poor rear space mean that it still can’t quite stand up to a lot of its rivals, including the Audi Q3 and Cupra Formentor.
The trim
See full equipmentThe Performance Line trim makes the appearance of the DS4 a little more sporty, with 19in alloy wheels and black window surrounds and DS badges. You also get a Alcantara suede and leather interior, front parking sensors, a rear-view camera and a pressed carbon fibre insert on the steering wheel that is unique to each car. Like the entry-level Bastille + trim, you don’t get built-in sat nav, head-up display or the additional small touchscreen.
The engine
