Great to look at and surprisingly good fun – just don't expect to carry lots of people and luggage. Go for a version with the larger 42kWh battery for a decent range between charges.get the best price

We reckon Icon trim makes the most sense, because as well as a larger (10.3in) touchscreen infotainment system, you also get alloy wheels, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, keyless entry and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

With an official range of 186-199 miles on a full charge (it varies slightly between trim levels), this 42kWh version is well worth the price premium over the 24kWh version. As a bonus, you also get a more powerful 117bhp electric motor which, in our tests, managed to get the 500 to 60mph from a standstill in 8.0sec.
