Fiat 500X 1.0 Club 5dr Review
Category: Small SUV
Section: Version review

The model
Read full reviewThe Fiat 500X has an attractive interior and many will be sold by the styling alone. There are, however, plenty of other small SUVs in the same price bracket that are more practical, better to drive and offer a higher level of safety equipment and crash protection.
The trim
See full equipmentEntry-level Club trim is the one to go for if you want to keep costs down, and it has all the creature comforts you really need. They include 16in alloy wheels, rear tinted windows, manual air conditioning, cruise control, an electronic handbrake, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, lane-assist, traffic sign recognition and a 7.0in touchscreen infotainment system with DAB radio, Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone mirroring. It’s a real shame that you can’t have automatic emergency braking (AEB) with this trim though, even as an option.
The engine
See full engine specsThis turbocharged three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine offers adequate performance and is our pick of the lineup. Only available with a manual gearbox.
