The Ford Focus stands out as one of the best driver’s cars in the class, with truly entertaining handling if you go for ST-Line trim. It has sharp dynamics, a good ride, quiet cruising manners and lots of passenger space. The iffy interior quality, reduced ease of use for the climate controls, and slightly lacklustre performance are the main areas that mark it down.

Opting for the Vignale version of the Titanium trim adds 17in alloy wheels, the upgraded Bang & Olufsen premium stereo system, premium leather seat upholstery, an electronic four-way adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats and steering wheel, a 12.3in fully digital driver display and wireless phone-charging. We don't think it's worth the extra cost unless you really want the extra features.
