The Ford Galaxy is a brilliant large MPV that doesn't impose any compromises. With a huge boot and seven seats, It fulfils the same practical role as rivals such as the Volkswagen Sharan but is much more composed on the road. We recommend the 187bhp diesel engine for its power and very competitive CO2 and fuel economy figures. For the ultimate in family transportation, the Galaxy is a very solid choice.

Trim: Titanium

Titanium cars add sat-nav to the standard 8.0in touchscreen system, rear privacy glass, automatic headlights and wipers, keyless entry and cruise control as standard equipment over Zetec. Unless you really want these features, we’d save your money. \n,

Engine: 1.5 EcoBoost 165

The 163bhp petrol option lacks the shove of the diesel variants, and, although the on-the-road price is the cheapest in the range, running costs will be considerably more, so it's best to stick with the diesels.
