Read full reviewThe Kuga is a decent large SUV in any guise but really makes sense if you opt for the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model. It's one of the best plug-in hybrid large SUVs there is, providing a decent electric-only range, good fuel economy, tidy enough handling, and all for a sensible price. Shortfalls include the iffy interior quality and the relatively small boot.

See full engine specsIf you want four-wheel drive, you’ll have to pick the 187bhp 2.0-litre diesel Ecoblue 190. Its 8.7sec 0-62mph time isn’t bad, although there are swifter choices in this class. At 2100kg, it has the highest maximum towing capacity of the Kuga range.
