Review

The Ford Puma Gen-E electric SUV is competitively priced, good to drive and has a usefully large boot. However, there are rivals that offer more rear seat space, longer ranges and superior ride comfort – the Kia EV3 being one of them. If you are sold on the Gen-E, we recommend sticking with the entry-level Select version.

This high-spec version brings larger 18in wheels, adaptive LED headlights and an upgraded B&O branded sound system.

The Gen-E comes with a 43kWh (usable capacity) battery and a front-mounted electric motor (making it front-wheel drive). With 165bhp, it can accelerate from 0-62mph in eight seconds.
