Honda Civic 1.0 VTEC Turbo 126 Sport Line EX 5dr Review

The model
Read full reviewThe Honda Civic is good to drive, proving to be one of the more comfortable cars in the class and also reasonably tidy through corners. And it has a decent boot and comes with lots of standard kit. However, its infotainment system is terrible, its resale values aren't that strong and it doesn't really excel in any area. A Seat Leon, for instance, is much more fun to drive, the Toyota Corolla is much more efficient and a Skoda Octavia is a lot more practical.
get the best priceThe trim
See full equipmentThis is based on the equipment levels of the EX trim, but with additional sporty detailing such as red seat stitching, a rear spoiler and black alloy wheels. It's not really worth the money, though.
The engine
See full engine specsWe reckon that the 124bhp 1.0 VTEC Turbo petrol engine is all you really need. It delivers perfectly acceptable acceleration for town or motorway driving (officially the 0-62mph dash is ticked off in a reasonable 10.5sec) and it's just as perky as its chief rivals, like the Seat Leon and Skoda Octavia 1.0 TSI 110.
