If you looking for cultured motoring on a sensible budget, then you must check out the Hyundai i10. It's relatively spacious, comes with a smart-looking interior, great infotainment system, and it rides and drives more impressively than some bigger, pricier cars. The list price might look a bit steep, but if you check out the monthly PCP deals you'll find it's more affordable than you might think.

Trim: Premium

At the top of the tree is Premium trim, which brings privacy glass, 16in alloy wheels, LED running lights, front fog lights, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Premium also gives you the option of a contrasting roof colour and the rather pricey Tech Pack, which adds in-built sat-nav and wireless phone charging.

Engine: 1.0 MPi

This entry-level engine is good enough for town work, but needs working hard to maintain speed up hills or on motorways. We'd steer you towards the more powerful 1.2-litre instead. Available with a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic gearbox.
