The 64kWh version of the Hyundai Kona Electric has a fantastic real-world range between charges, plus it’s quick and well-equipped. However, excellent rivals including the Kia e-Niro and Volkswagen ID.3 are better all-rounders thanks to their superior ride comfort and more practical interiors.
The trimSee full equipment
Adds plenty of kit to that you get with entry-level SE Connect trim, including bigger alloys and a larger 10.3in touchscreen infotainment systems. The price jump is too big for us to recommend Premium trim, though.

The cheapest way into a Kona doesn't get you blistering performance. Acceleration stops short of being frustratingly sluggish, but 0-62mph in 11.9sec isn't great for a modern small SUV.
