Old-school charm and big discounts give the F-Type plenty of appeal – but you need to choose carefully. We reckon the P450 with rear-wheel drive makes the most sense.
Our favourite engine. The supercharged 5.0-litre V8 has 444bhp and is noticeably quicker and more muscular than the P300. There’s enough acceleration to pin you back in your seat (0-60mph takes 4.4sec) and a snarling exhaust note that turns into a guttural roar as you chase the red line. Available with rear or four-wheel drive.
