The Jaguar XE is wonderful to drive and well equipped, even if rivals have it licked for interior quality and practicality. Go for the D180 diesel if you're a company car driver or worried about fuel costs, while the P250 petrol is a better choice is you're buying privately and do below average miles. Either way, stick with entry-level S trim if you want the best value for money.get the best price
Trim: R-Dynamic HSE
This version of the XE is based on range-topping HSE-spec, but brings sportier looks and lowered and stiffened suspension. However, while the former makes it very desirable and the latter improves the already impressive handling, there's a penalty to pay in terms of ride comfort.
This is the sole diesel engine, but it's still the pick of the range, pulling eagerly enough from low revs and feeling usefully brisk. An eight-speed automatic gearbox is standard and you can choose from rear and four-wheel drive.
