The model
Read full Kia EV6 reviewA brilliant electric car with a long range and the ability to charge up very quickly. It’s also huge in the back and good to drive. Just bear in mind that cheaper rear-wheel drive versions make more financial sense than the faster four-wheel drive models.
The trim
See full equipmentThe mid-level GT-Line trim gives the EV6 some slightly sportier styling touches, along with tinted windows, upgraded front seats with electronic adjustment and a memory function, wireless phone charging and a clever device that allows the charging port to double as a 3.5kW three-pin plug socket; you can use it to boil a kettle or even (very slowly) charge another electric car.
The engine
See full engine specsCheaper RWD models have a single 226bhp electric motor driving the rear wheels, giving performance that’s decent rather than (ahem) electric. In our tests this version managed 0-60mph in 6.9 seconds. The official range is up to 328 miles on a full charge, but 230-270 miles in real world driving is more realistic.
