Whether it’s a long motorway jaunt or a country road blast, the Maserati GranTurismo is vastly more capable and comfortable at doing either than its predecessor. While the interior quality doesn’t quite live up to the price and some will wish for a more exotic soundtrack, this is a relatively small compromise in what is the most polished version yet. An Aston Martin DB12 is sharper to drive and a Bentley Continental GT is more plush, but both rivals command more money. The heavier and much pricier pure-electric Folgore isn’t as sweet to drive, so it’s much harder to recommend.
