Read full reviewIf you're looking for the most practical estate, you'll be better off looking at the Skoda Superb, but against rivals such as the Audi A4 Avant and Volvo V60, the Mercedes C-Class stacks up rather well. It can’t quite match the driving fun of the best in class, though, and a disappointing step down in interior quality means we’d still recommend a BMW 3 Series Touring overall.

It does, however, stack up well against equivalent units in competitors.
