While it may seem to have been created by a nonsense sentence generator, this is the name of the only trim level currently available on non-performance CLS’. Fortunately, it comes very well equipped with 20in alloys, LED headlights, a 360deg camera system, three-zone climate control, two 12.3in screens for both the infotainment system and digital driver display, wireless phone charging, and Burmester stereo and a head up display.

The entry-level engine certainly has more than entry-level performance, and would be a fine choice for a running-cost conscious CLS buyer. If you can afford to, plump for the six-cylinder 400d for its extra refinement, stonking overtaking ability and reasonable running costs.
