If you’re looking for a refined and comfortable electric car that has a very long range, the EQE is well worth a look. However, it’s worth bearing in mind that the cheaper BMW i4 has a similar range, quicker performance and better practicality.

AMG Line is the entry-level specification on the EQE, and it’s fairly well equipped. It gets you features such as 19in alloys, a panoramic glass sunroof, heated front Sport seats, a wireless phone-charging pad, ambient interior lighting and a reversing camera as standard.

The entry-level EQE 300 has 242bhp and can accelerate from 0-62mph in 7.3sec.
