Trim: AMG Line
This brings mostly style additions to Sport trim, including a more aggressive AMG bodykit, figure-hugging sports seats, 19in alloys and contrast stitching in the interior. It commands a high price that’s hard to justify, though.
Engine: GLA 200
This 1.6-litre, turbocharged petrol engine delivers brisk enough pace but needs to be worked quite hard to get the best from it. It’s front-wheel drive with a manual gearbox as standard, but a seven-speed automatic is optional.
