The model
Read full reviewThe Mercedes GLE Coupé is undeniably well-equipped and looks impressively flash inside, however, there are better picks for the money. An Audi Q8 is comfier and has a better built interior, a Porsche Cayenne Coupé is more fun to drive and a BMW X6 is a better all-rounder. The plug-in hybrid 350de does make a lot of sense to company car users, though.
get the best priceThe trim
See full equipmentThere’s only one, exceedingly well-equipped, trim level for ‘normal’ GLE Coupés. With electrically adjustable, heated and cooled front seats with memory, a massive 12.3in infotainment system including sat-nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, giant 22in alloy wheels, air suspension, keyless entry, adaptive LED headlights, a panoramic glass roof, ambient LED lighting, a powerful Burmester stereo and a surround view camera, it does make the GLE pricier than its closest rival, the BMW X6, though.
The engine
See full engine specsWith an official 0-62mph time of 5.7 seconds, the 400d is effortlessly quick. It also offers a tastefully muscular exhaust note under hard acceleration.
