Review

The MG ZS EV is roomy, well equipped and extremely well priced. The entry-level SE is the one to go for because of its mix of low costs, range and equipment, but if you need to do lots of longer journeys, consider the Long Range SE.

This top-tier trim adds quite a bit to the price of the ZS but also some welcome luxuries, including ba uilt-in sat-nav, a 360-degree parking camera, heated front seats and blind-spot monitoring. You’ll struggle to find a rival for the same price that offers as much kit.

This engine's lack of a turbocharger means you need to rev it quite hard to get the best from it. Once it does get going, though, performance is very similar to the pricier 1.0T-GDI.
