The model
Read full Mini Clubman reviewThe Mini Clubman’s an entertaining car for those looking for cutsie looks, lots of customisation, and a smart, funky interior. It's also reasonably practical, but if you value tidy handling then choose an Audi A3 instead, or if a smooth ride is your thing, a Volkswagen Golf of Mercedes A-Class.
The trim
See full equipmentThe John Cooper Works comes with a punchy 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 302bhp hooked up to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. It's quick, yes, but for a hot hatchback it's beaten by more accomplished rivals, like the Mercedes-AMG A35 for pace, and the Honda Civic Type R on handling. Comes well equipped, including 18in alloy wheels, lowered sports suspension, a sports exhaust, LED headlights, leather seats, climate control, heated front seats and a host of styling upgrades.
