A family SUV is absolutely key for any manufacturer these days, and Citroën is the latest to take on the challenge, with its new C5 Aircross.

The new rival to the Nissan Qashqai and Skoda Karoq will go on sale at the end of this year.

Being noticeably larger than many of its key rivals, the C5 Aircross is claimed to be the most spacious in its class. That family focus extends to the driving experience, with the suspension being set-up to prioritise ride comfort. Plus, the rear seat bench can slide, recline and fold, while there's up to 580 litres of boot space.

Inside, the C5 Aircross features an 8.0in infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside a 12.3in digital instrument display.

Two petrol and two diesel engines will be offered, producing up to 178bhp. These will be joined by a significantly more powerful plug-in hybrid model later on.

If you're interested, come along for an exclusive preview, on Tuesday 30 October from 11am, in Chingford, north-east London. You'll get a hands-on preview of the car, as well as a Q&A opportunity with the Citroën team, before being interviewed for our magazine and website.
