2019 Seat Leon Cupra R Estate Abt verdict
Does a £500 tuning pack make the Seat Leon Cupra R Estate Abt a performance bargain?...

Before you get too excited, the Seat Leon Cupra R Estate will be hard to pin down, because the UK market is limited to only 150 examples. So, you’ll have to decide if you can justify a 347bhp family estate pretty quickly.
If you can, make sure you tick that Abt tuning pack box. At just £500, it’s cheaper than an electric sunroof and adds noticeably more accelerative force without harming driveability or – in our experience – fuel economy.
Admittedly, the Cupra R Estate isn’t as involving as the best performance cars out there, but if you're considering a Golf R Estate, try one of these. Not only is it faster with the Abt pack, but also the suspension tweaks make it even more agile. The icing on the cake is a purchase price that's around £2000 less than a similarly equipped Golf R Estate. Remember, though, that the Honda Civic Type R hatchback is jolly practical and even cheaper.
