BMW i4 options to choose and avoidImage 1 of 8

If you’re looking for a fun and practical coupé that won’t cost the Earth to run, the all-electric BMW i4 is an exceptional choice. That’s because it offers impressive range capabilities, one of the highest-quality interiors you’ll find for the money, and performance that rivals some sports cars.

Our full review will give you the full story about the i4, including what it’s like to drive and live with, but here we’re concerned with getting you the most for your money if you buy one.

The first decision you have to make is whether to opt for the eDrive40 model, which starts from £51,905, or the high-performance M50, which is £63,905. We recommend that you choose the former, whose single electric motor produces 335bhp, and which can officially take you 367 miles on a full charge.

We think that M Sport trim is the one to choose, because it grants you access to some choice upgrades (more on those later) as well as a sportier look.

To really make the most of what the BMW i4 can offer, though, these are the options that we'd add.
