Jaguar's fastest-ever XKR at Geneva

Jaguar's fastest-ever XKR will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show at the start of next month.

The supercharged XKR showcases new tuning and styling options, and will be capable of 174mph up from its previous electronically limited maximum of 155mph.

Speed and style
The extra speed comes courtesy of Jaguar's all-new Speed Pack, which will be launched alongside its Black Pack styling option.

Speed Pack
XKR owners who choose the Speed Pack will have the Coupe's top speed extended to 174mph through a recalibration of the engine and transmission.

A revised front splitter and larger rear spoiler are also included to improve high-speed stability and reduce lift. The XKR's Active Differential Control system is also set up to assist by reducing steering sensitivity as the speed increases.

XKRs with the Speed Pack also get body-coloured side sills and rear diffuser, along with a chrome finish to the window surrounds, mesh grilles, and side vents. There are also red brake callipers with a Jaguar R logo inside its 20-inch alloy wheels.

Speed Pack buyers will also be able to choose from a palette of seven colours designed to 'complement' the performance potential of the car: kyanite blue, liquid silver, lunar grey, polaris white, salsa red, spectrum blue and ultimate black.

Black Pack
Available only with the Speed Pack, XKR's fitted with the Black Pack styling option get 20-inch black alloys, gloss black finishing to the window surrounds and front grilles, while body-coloured front and rear spoilers complete the package. There's also the option of a sweeping XKR graphic that runs along the seals.

Black Pack interiors will be trimmed with charcoal leather hides that can be personalised with a range of colour stitching. Three interior finishes and veneers for the fascia and door trims are also available: aluminium, dark mesh, dark oak and piano black.

How much?
The Speed Pack costs 3500 and the Speed and Black Pack costs 4000. Both are available on XKR Coupe only.

Both option packs will be available on 2011-year models.
