The best new car leasing deals for less than £200 per month
These days, the majority of people buy their cars using finance, whether it be through a PCP deal, or by leasing. The latter is a great option if you're not bothered about owning your car at the end of the agreement, and it helps to keep your monthly payments low.
A budget of around £200 per month is achievable for most people, and the good news is that for that kind of money, you could be driving some of the best cars around, ranging from award-winning city cars to family SUVs. Here, we've rounded up the best deals on What Car? Leasing for less than £200 per month. In each case, you can click the links to find out more about each car, and see all the great deals available both through leasing and through What Car? New Car Buying.
10. Renault Kadjar
Model 1.3 TCe Play | Leasing price from £199.31 per month | The deal 48-month term, with annual mileage limit of 8000 miles. Plus £1195.86 initial payment
The Kadjar is heavily based on the Nissan Qashqai, and this means it's one of the best all-rounders in the family SUV market. We particularly like its spacious interior and low running costs, and the fact that you get plenty of kit as standard, including air conditioning, cruise control and a 7.0in touchscreen infotainment system.
9. Hyundai Kona
Model 1.0 T-GDi Blue Drive SE | Leasing price from £191.33 per month | The deal 48-month term, with annual mileage limit of 8000 miles. Plus £1147.98 initial payment
Although it doesn’t look like one, it’s best to think of the Kona as a more stylish version of Hyundai's i20 hatchback, with an elevated driving position. That makes it a rival to small SUVs such as the Renault Captur and Seat Arona, and means it's a spacious and well-equipped choice. The 1.0-litre petrol engine you get here is the baby in the range, but it has plenty of pep for most situations.
8. Ford Fiesta
Model 1.0 EcoBoost 95 ST-Line | Leasing price from £191.30 per month | The deal 48-month term, with annual mileage limit of 8000 miles. Plus £1147.80 initial payment
If you're looking for a small hatchback that's also great fun to drive, then the Ford Fiesta is a great choice; it offers keen handling and a punchy range of petrol engines. Add in brilliant fuel economy and decent practicality, and it's easy to see why the Fiesta is consistently the best-selling new car in the UK. This ST-Line version gets stiffer suspension, a sporty bodykit and 17in alloy wheels.
7: Hyundai i10
Model 1.2 MPi SE Connect | Leasing price from £182.09 per month | The deal 48-month term, with annual mileage limit of 8000 miles. Plus £1092.54 initial payment
The latest i10 is our favourite city car because it's handy around town yet decently spacious, with five usable seats. You also get loads of safety kit as standard, and a decent amount of kit with our recommended SE Connect versions. The 1.2-litre petrol engine we recommend is punchy in town traffic but can also handle longer motorway trips.
6: Seat Ibiza
Model 1.0 TSI 95 FR [EZ] | Leasing price from £175.93 per month | The deal 48-month term, with annual mileage limit of 8000 miles. Plus £1055.58 initial payment
The Seat Ibiza is one of the best small hatchbacks you can have on your driveway. It's great to drive, comes with a peppy range and is also deceptively spacious inside. FR versions are our favourites, and come with 17in alloy wheels, sporty seats, cruise control, a DAB radio and rain-sensing windscreen wipers.
5: Nissan Juke
Model 1.0 DiG-T Visia | Leasing price from £187.40 per month | The deal 48-month term, with annual mileage limit of 10,000 miles. Plus £1124.40 initial payment
This latest Nissan Juke is so much better than the car it replaces, with a smart-looking interior, a strong array of safety kit and even decent practicality. This Visia version has most of your equpment needs covered, while the 1.0-litre petrol engine you get here is gutsy enough for most situations.
4: Skoda Kamiq
Model 1.0 TSI 95 SE | Leasing price from £174.54 per month | The deal 48-month term, with annual mileage limit of 8000 miles. Plus £1047.24 initial payment
The same value for money ethos that makes Skoda's other SUVs so recommendable is present on the smaller Kamiq, too. It's remarkably practical, and is classier inside than most rivals. That it's also good to drive means the Kamiq is a sure candidate for any small SUV shortlist.
3: Seat Arona
Model 1.0 TSI 95 SE Technology [EZ] | Leasing price from £167.86 per month | The deal 48-month term, with annual mileage limit of 8000 miles. Plus £1007.16 initial payment
The Arona might be Seat's smallest SUV, but it's surprisingly spacious inside. Great to drive, too. This SE Technology version is our recommended choice, and comes with an upgraded infotainment system and parking sensors. Only so-so interior quality stops the Arona from rising any higher in the small SUV class.
2: Skoda Karoq
Model 1.0 TSI SE Technology| Leasing price from £199.24 per month | The deal 36-month term, with annual mileage limit of 8000 miles. Plus £1195.44 initial payment
The fact that you can drive something as good and as spacious as the Karoq for less than £200 per month shows why these leasing deals are worth paying attention to. And what an SUV the Karoq is. It combines superb practicality with a comfortable ride, plus it's available with luxurious features such as virtual instruments and gesture control.
1: Skoda Scala
Model 1.0 TSI 95 SE| Leasing price from £158.42 per month | The deal 48-month term, with annual mileage limit of 8000 miles. Plus £951.12 initial payment
Another Skoda takes our very top spot here, but this time it's the Scala – our reigning champion in the family car market. It's comfortable and good to drive, has a spacious rear bench and boot so you can take the whole family and their luggage with you, and is cheap both to buy and run. Even better, it's the cheapest car here for both monthly payments and deposit.
