Volvo offers biggest Target Price savings

If you are after a discount, then biggest savings at a car dealer can be found courtesy of Volvo, according to What Car? research.

Volvo offers the highest average saving through our Target Price, which is the highest price we reckon you should pay for a car.

The Volvo range has an average discount of 15.8%, and five models feature in the top 10 of the highest model discounts. BMW and Renault are the next biggest discounters, with average savings of 12.3% and 11.6% available across their ranges.

These discounts are higher than the average discount across all manufacturers, which is 9.5%. However, our data has shown that manufacturers are cutting back on the savings offered by their dealers, with average savings falling by 6.7% in the last 12 months.

If you want the biggest possible saving, then the BMW 7 Series ActiveHybrid SE has the largest individual discount, with a 25.3% saving according to our mystery shoppers. The BMW Z4 and the Volvo V70 are the other two models making up the top three in terms of large discounts.
