WATCH: BYD Sealion 7 vs MG IM6 vs Tesla Model Y

Can the new MG IM6 beat the Tesla Model Y and BYD Sealion 7? We venture out on a 500-mile road trip to find out...

Last year the Tesla Model Y was the best-selling car in the world. But that was the old version. Now, we have a heavily revised Model Y promising some big improvements to its ride, refinement and interior quality.

These changes were very necessary, too – new electric SUVs are appearing all of the time, looking to challenge the Model Y.

One of these is the new MG IM6, which offers a big range, a luxurious interior and a staggering 396kW maximum charging speed – the fastest of any electric car you can buy today.

We also have the recently introduced BYD Sealion 7. And while it might have a strange name, it's a very serious car, with a spacious interior, lots of equipment and a starting price which undercuts our favourite version of the Model Y.

So, which of these cars is best? We took them on a 500-mile road trip to find out – watch it below.
