Category: Electric SUV
Section: Version review

The model
Read full reviewSo far, we’ve only tried a late-stage prototype of the Nissan Ariya. It’s easy to drive and the interior quality is impressive but some rivals have longer ranges and can charge up more quickly. Ride comfort could be better too.
The trim
See full equipmentWe reckon this entry-level trim, available only on the 63kWh version, is all you really need. You get dual-zone climate control, a 360deg parking camera, electric (and heated) front seats, LED headlights and a heat pump for more efficient warming of the interior. You get loads of standard safety kit, too.
The engine
See full engine specsNot especially rapid by electric car standards, but this entry-level front wheel drive version of the Ariya is more than brisk enough. It can do 0-62mph in around 7.5 seconds and has an official range of up to 251 miles.
