The Juke is strong in some key areas, such as interior quality, safety and equipment levels, but there are more rounded choices in the small SUV class. The Skoda Kamiq is one, and noticeably better if you’re looking for space or comfort, while the excellent Ford Puma should be cheaper to run and far more exciting to drive.get the best price

We reckon N-Connecta trim is just about worth the extra over Acenta, thanks to its smarter interior with a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear knob, ambient interior lighting, in-built sat-nav and added infotainment connectivity, keyless start and climate control.

A 112bhp 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol is the only engine available at the moment. It’s gutsy enough if you keep the revs above 2000rpm, and if you work it really hard it can take the Juke from 0-62mph in 10.7sec.
