The Nissan Juke has a smart interior and comes with plenty of equipment, but there are more rounded choices in the small SUV class, including the Ford Puma, Skoda Kamiq and VW T-Roc. If you're buying a Juke we'd recommend the DIG-T 114 in mid-spec N-Connecta trim.

We reckon N-Connecta trim is just about worth the extra over Acenta, thanks to its smarter interior with a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear knob, ambient interior lighting, built-in sat-nav and added infotainment connectivity, keyless start and climate control. This is also the cheapest trim available for the Juke Hybrid.

This 112bhp 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol is gutsy enough, and if you work it really hard it can take the Juke from 0-60mph in 11.7sec. We'd avoid the automatic gearbox, though - if you want an auto, the Juke Hybrid is much better.
