Section: Version review

The model
Read full Nissan Micra reviewThe Nissan Micra has an attractive interior, good safety equipment and a decent petrol engine, but in other areas, particularly rear seat space and handling, it trails its rivals.
The trim
See full equipmentThe second step up in the Micra’s trim levels, Acenta, is our favourite. That’s because it takes the base equipment then adds the touchscreen infotainment system, alloy wheels, cruise control and air conditioning. You also get access to various optional packs that add things like rear parking sensors and built-in sat nav.
The engine
See full engine specsThe petrol engine is fairly flat at low revs, but once the turbocharger kicks in, there’s plenty of power to make the Micra feel zippy when you’re driving around town. The manual Micra will get to 60mph in 11.8 seconds and can get you to motorway speeds quickly and easily.
