We reckon the middle of the range N-Connecta 140 trim is where the best value lies because the cheaper trims (especially Visia) are stingily equipped and range-topping models are rather pricey.

See full equipmentWorth considering if you want extra luxuries, such as a gesture-controlled electric tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, 19in alloy wheels, a heated steering wheel, a heated windscreen, heated front seats, electric front seats, adaptive LED headlights, wireless phone charging and a head-up display. We reckon cheaper N-Connecta trim represents better value for money, though.
The engine
See full engine specsYou won’t exactly be thrown back in your seat when you accelerate hard, especially at low revs, but performance is respectable enough with 0-62mph in 9.5sec. The DIG-T 158 will get you up to motorway speeds without bother and gives you enough oomph to safely overtake slower cars and cyclists on smaller roads. Officially it'll average around 44mpg and, on test, we averaged 37mpg.
