The model
Read full New Nissan Qashqai reviewThe Nissan Qashqai remains a strong contender in the family SUV class but doesn’t quite match the all-round package offered by the Kia Sportage and Skoda Karoq. We think you’re best off sticking with the mid-spec N-Connecta trim and the DIG-T 140 engine because it gives the best mix of equipment and performance for the money.
The trim
See full equipmentThe most popular trim level choice is N-Connecta, and we reckon it’s the best bet. On top of everything that comes with Acenta Premium, you get a larger 12.3in touchscreen infotainment system, in-built sat-nav, four USB sockets, a 12.3in digital instrument display, 18in alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera, ambient interior lighting, rear map pockets and privacy glass.
The engine
See full engine specsThis is our favourite Qashqai engine because it’s cheaper than the DIG-T 158 and has almost as much low-rev pull, so it's not that much slower (0-62mph takes a respectable 10.2sec). Officially, it averages around 44mpg.
