The Nissan Qashqai is a strong contender in the family SUV class, although it doesn't quite beat the all-round package offered by the Skoda Karoq. We reckon the middle of the range N-Connecta 140 trim is where the best value lies because the cheaper trims (especially Visia) are stingily equipped and range-topping models are rather pricey.

The most popular choice is N-Connecta, and we reckon it’s the best bet. On top of everything that comes with Acenta Premium, you get a larger 9.0in touchscreen infotainment system, in-built sat-nav, four USB sockets, a 12.3in digital instrument display, 18in alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera, ambient interior lighting, rear map pockets and privacy glass.
