Review

Not only does the Peugeot 2008 look the part (both inside and out), it's well equipped and has a range of punchy, efficient petrol engines. That said, the Ford Puma and Skoda Kamiq are better all-rounders, as is the Audi Q2 if you want a premium badge.

Trim: GT Line

GT Line adds more visual features and tech, such as 18in alloy wheels, a rear-view camera and LED headlights. Other tech includes a wireless smartphone charging pad, an upgraded 10.0in touchscreen infotainment system and a three-year navigation subscription. It also allows you to spec optional extras such as blind spot monitoring, park assist and an upgraded speaker set-up.

Engine: 1.5 BlueHDi

The 1.5 BlueHDi 100 diesel offers plenty of extra pulling power from low revs, so you don’t have to change up and down gears too often for an even more relaxed drive. It's a good fit for anyone thinking of towing a caravan, but can get boomy under hard acceleration.
