The model
Read full reviewOne of the very best small cars, standing out for ride comfort, interior quality and hushed cruising manners. The 1.2 Puretech 100 engine is also punchy and doesn't drink much fuel. It isn't cheap to buy, though, and rivals such as the Ford Fiesta are much more fun to drive.

See full engine specsIf you can stretch your budget to the 99bhp Puretech 100 petrol you'll have the pick of the range. The Puretech 100 is a really strong engine that picks up well from low revs; it's absolutely ideal for propelling you along on A-roads and motorways without any fuss, and livelier than a Clio or Polo with equivalent power. It's pretty quiet and we also managed nearly 48mpg in our trials, which is impressive.
