The model
Read full reviewStylish, practical and good to drive, the well-equipped Peugeot 3008 is one of the best family SUVs you can buy. Go for the entry-level 1.2 PureTech engine unless you're a company car driver; the Hybrid4 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model will offer significantly lower monthly BIK payments. There are better PHEV SUVs out there, though, and the Skoda Karoq is an even more practical alternative to regular models.
The trim
See full equipmentRange-topping GT costs almost as much as premium rivals such as the Volvo XC40 and Range Rover Evoque, both of which we think offer better value than this 3008 trim.
The engine
See full engine specsWith a 0-62mph time of 8.9 seconds, the Hybrid 225 isn’t massively quick, and while its claimed all-electric range is only one mile short of the Hybrid4 at 39 miles (WLTP) (expect a figure closer to 25 miles in real-world driving conditions) this has some serious tax implications for company car buyers.
