Stylish, practical and good to drive, the well-equipped 3008 is a highly recommendable family SUV. For most retail buyers, the 1.2 Hybrid 136 is the best choice, but the Hybrid4 plug-in hybrid model will offer significantly lower company car tax payments. There are better PHEV SUVs out there, though, and the Skoda Karoq is an even more practical alternative to the regular hybrid and diesel 3008.

We reckon mid-spec Allure Premium+ trim is worth the extra for its upgraded infotainment system and slightly posher interior.

This most potent of 3008s is a four-wheel drive plug-in that combines rapid performance with low CO2 emissions. It’s too expensive to recommend to private buyers, but thanks to its impressive pure electric range, it falls into a low benefit-in-kind tax bracket, making it worth considering if you’re on the lookout for a company car.
