The model
Read full reviewThe Peugeot 5008 is stylish, practical, good to drive and one of our favourite large SUVs. It's relatively affordable to buy and run, especially if you go for the entry-level 1.2-litre Puretech 130 petrol engine. If you need even more space the Kia Sorento is an even better bet.

See full equipmentThis trim adds (over and above Allure Premium) adaptive cruise control with steering assist, Alcantara and leather seat trim, rear USB ports, a black roof (and other black styling details) and full LED headlights.
The engine
See full engine specsThe 2.0 BlueHDi 180 comes with an automatic gearbox. It gets you from 0-62mph in 9.2sec, but, bearing in mind the price difference over the cheaper diesel, only makes sense if you regularly have a full car or tow something heavy. It’s worth pointing out that you can get versions of the Skoda Kodiaq and Seat Tarraco that are stronger still.
