The 78kWh battery and two electric motors together produce 402bhp and 487lb ft of torque. The Model 3 Performance has even more welly, but at 4.7sec from 0-62mph, the Polestar 2 is still mightily quick. As for the crucial matter of range, the 292 miles that the Polestar 2 managed in its WLTP test matches what the more expensive Jaguar I-Pace achieved but not the Model 3 Performance’s official range of 329 miles.
