Unlike the ‘standard’ GT3, the RS version only comes with a PDK automatic gearbox. You do, however, get active rear steer, PASM dampers, the same sized wheels as the mad GT2 RS and far more aggressive aerodynamics than the GT3. An optional Weissach package, which sheds another 28kg from the RS’s 1,430kg kerb weight, will be available to order from 2019.
The hardcore GT3 RS gets an uprated version of the GT3’s non-turbo 4.0-litre. Power is up to 513bhp and the 0-62mph time is down by two-tenths to 3.2sec. However, keener drivers might be disappointed to learn that a manual gearbox is not available.
