If you're looking for a brilliant electric car that offers real driving pleasure, the Taycan is the one for you. On top of its amazing handling, it's also wonderfully classy inside and reasonably practical. On the negative side, the Audi e-tron GT is almost as good to drive but cheaper and better equipped, while there are a number of cheaper electric cars out there with longer official ranges.

Our favourite trim comes with everything the standard Taycan gets, but adds adaptive air suspension and fancier LED headlights. We recommend adding the 93kWh Performance Battery Plus option to get a longer range and 270kW charging.
