Renault Kadjar 1.3 TCE Iconic 5dr EDC Review

The model
Read full reviewThe Renault Kadjar is a great all-rounder that easily takes on the rest of the family SUV class. The Nissan Qashqai still pips it in a few areas, such as ride quality and interior finish, but the Kadjar fights back with cheaper running costs and much better reliability. We recommend sticking with the entry-level petrol, and going for Iconic trim for a good balance of power and tech at a reasonable price.
get the best priceThe trim
See full equipmentWe reckon Iconic trim is the best value Kadjar trim level. It builds on Play spec and adds sat-nav, keyless entry, front and rear parking sensors and a rear view camera. There’s also automatic headlights, two rear USB sockets and the adjustable boot floor.
The engine
See full engine specsThere isn’t a bad engine in the Kadjar range; even the entry-level 138bhp 1.3 petrol is strong enough, feeling particularly gutsy from low revs and delivering its power in a smooth and predictable manner.
