The model
Read full reviewThe Seat Ateca isn’t just great to drive and attractive to look at, it’s also impressively spacious, well equipped and competitively priced. Put simply, if you’re looking for a family SUV that’s also capable of putting a smile on your face, the Ateca needs to be very high on your shopping list. The Skoda Karoq isn't as specialised when it comes to handling agility but it is a slightly better all-round package.
The trim
See full equipmentRange-topping Xperience Lux trim adds 19in alloy wheels, a digital instrument cluster, sport seats with leather upholstery, an electric tailgate, a 360-degree parking camera and blind-spot monitoring. That's on top of what Xperience trim comes with.
The engine
See full engine specsThis 113bhp 2.0-litre diesel has low-down shove but not as much ultimate pace (0-62mph takes 10.9sec) as the better 2.0 TDI 150. It's no more efficient, either, with a slightly lower average fuel economy (57.9mpg).
