The model
Read full Seat Tarraco reviewThere is a lot to like about the Seat Tarraco. It’s one of the better cars in the class to drive if you like something that feels a bit sporty, it's really generously equipped and it has a very good safety rating, if not the best in the class. But it isn’t as versatile as the very best large SUVs both in terms of space in its rear-most seats and its boot. There are cheaper alternatives, for private buyers and company car users alike.
The trim
See full equipmentOur favourite trim comes really well equipped with 17in alloy wheels, three-zone climate control, automatic lights and wipers, power-folding door mirrors, digital instruments, seven seats, LED headlights, metallic paint, cruise control and rear parking sensors. SE Technology adds a bigger infotainment screen and in-built sat-nav, but this trim’s 8.3in screen is big enough and, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard, you can use your phone's sat-nav (Google Maps or Waze) instead.
The engine
See full engine specsIf you think you might need a bit more lugging ability – for a regularly brimmed car or to tow with – this 148bhp 2.0-litre diesel is a good shout. It isn't quite as quick as our favourite petrol flat out (0-62mph take 10.2sec) but it has more welly in the mid-range for pulling heavy loads more easily. And it's RDE2 compliant, so won't cost company car drivers the extra 4% (surcharge) in BIK tax.
