The Skoda Karoq is a top-drawer family SUV with clever seating options, a big boot and plenty of space inside for passengers. It’s also a pleasure to drive, thanks to its comfortable ride (as long as you avoid the 19in alloy wheels) and great visibility – and it has a well made interior. If you’re after something sportier then have a look at the Seat Ateca, but the Karoq is the best all-round family SUV in its price bracket.get the best price

This trim is aimed at company car drivers. You certainly get a lot of kit for the money, but you won't find any attractive finance deals if you're buying privately.

The entry-level turbocharged 1.0 TSI 116 petrol engine is surprisingly sprightly and has decent low-rev shove, so it's fine if you spend most of your time in town. However, we reckon the 1.5 TSI 150 is worth the extra.
