Skoda Octavia 1.0 TSI e-TEC SE 5dr DSG Review

The model
Read full reviewFirst and foremost, the Octavia offers generous space for occupants and a massive boot that dwarfs most competitors from the class above, plus its plush interior and frugal engines make it a fantastic car for covering big distances in. The iV makes brilliant financial sense for company car users.
The trim
See full equipmentFirst off, all versions have a few handy treats, like the umbrella in the passenger door and an ice scraper clipped to the fuel filler flap. SE trim is far from stripped out, with 16in alloy wheels, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, two-zone climate control, keyless start, automatic lights and wipers, cruise control, a 10.0in infotainment touchscreen, a DAB radio, Bluetooth, x2 USB-C ports, voice control, rear parking sensors, LED headlights and front-seat lumbar adjustment.
The engine
See full engine specsEven the 108bhp 1.0 TSI 110 and mild hybrid 1.0 TSI e-Tec 110 feel peppy enough for extended motorway driving and are perfect for driving around town. They are also very frugal, easily managing mid-40mpg in the real world, but could feel a little strained carrying heavy loads regularly.
