Don't discount the Scala on the basis that it's cheap. It ticks many of the boxes that some more expensive family cars fail to, with its supple ride, decent handling, good infotainment system, amazing rear seat space and vast boot. Only its cheap-looking interior and weaker-than-average resale values mark it down.get the best price
Trim: Monte Carlo
Engine: 1.0 TSI
With a little stirring of the six-speed manual gearbox it'll dutifully carry out overtakes when required. It also has enough low-end shove to keep up with the general ebb and flow of traffic with relative ease, and certainly has more poke than the 1.0-litre Kia Ceed. We think it's great for the money, especially when you factor in decent MPG, and is our top choice in the range.
